12km from the beaches of Saint-Cyprien and Argelès you will find the Chai Catalan, an old winery, built into the medieval village walls, converted and decorated with flair. Inside are 4 spacious bedrooms all en-suite, opening onto a central glass-roofed atrium reserved for the sole use of our guests. In the garden, you can enjoy moments of leisure in the shade of the palm and centuries-old olive trees or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.

The Chai Catalan is ideally placed for you to discover the region and its natural, historical and cultural treasures (the Alberes range, the Vermillion coast, Elne, Collioure and Ceret to name but a few). Spain, of course, is just a short drive away and you can plan to visit Girona and its historical centre, Figueras and the Dali Museum, Cadaques and Portlligat on the coast. The Cathar castles are just a hour away.

You can visit Perpignan, Collioure, Ceret, Spain, the Cathar castles, spa towns etc.

Music, whether classical or modern, is also well represented with numerous festivals and concerts (such as les Estivales et Jazzèbre in Perpignan, the festival Pablo Casals in Prades, the Méditerranéennes in Argelès).

Activities: first and foremost… to do nothing! It’s easy with 40km of sandy beaches and 20km of rocky creeks. There’s space for everyone and we can advise you of more out of the way places. Afterwards, do as you please. All the sporting and fun activities are possible in the area.

Arriving from the north: A9, exit 42 (Perpignan Sud), N9 towards Le Boulou, D612 towards Bages, D8 towards Ortaffa.

The nearest airport is Perpignan-Rivesaltes served by Air France, Ryanair, bmibaby, and Flybe

Girona airport, with a greater number of flights from and to many European countries, is 1 hour away.

The nearest TGV station is Perpignan, also served by the Paris to Barcelona Talgo line (Ellipsos trainhotel). The nearest SNCF station is Elne.
