La Maison Rose is a former tabacco farmhouse built in 1850.Today it has been tastefully restored to its former glory.Oak timbers abound and many of the original features remain.We are in the heart of the Cahors Vineyards and the River Lot is only 2Km away with fishing and boat rides,canoeing etc.Set in over 15 acres of pastures and wooded hills that form part of Prayssac forest.Our comfortable farmhouse offers you a relaxed and quiet retreat be it for one night or a week.For the more energetic we have a 10 x 5 metre swimming pool,mountain bikes and badminton.Excellent walking and cycling country.Situated in a small hamlet we are just 1.5Km from the pretty village of Prayssac with its tree lined square and pavement cafes.The Lot capital Cahors is about 32Km to the East. |

We offer two double bedrooms each with a queen size Four poster Bed.One quad size bedroom with double bed and two single beds,One twin bedroom.All have their own en-suite bath/shower rooms,warbrobes,bedside tables with lamps,dresser and comfortable chair.All bedrooms come with free linen and towels.Tea and coffee facilites.There is a guest Living room with satellite UK televison,new sofa and chair,DVD/VHS player,plenty of up to date CD's,books and games.Guest are served brakfast in the Sun terrace room over looking the forest and pastures. |

Attractions The Lot has much to offer the visitor.Cahors famous for it's ruby red wine.The Lot valley is covered in vineyards.The River Lot has lots to offer and has been improved in 2006 allowing more access to the river with new locks etc.Pleasure trips,fishing,trail walking and cycle routes are plenty.Throughout the summer there are fetes and festivals ranging from religious to celebrating food.Cahors the Capital is well worth a visit with its narrow side shops and cafes.Pech-Merle for its prehistoric paintings and for those who just want to browse Prayssac has a busy and active market each Friday morning with a range of fresh produce. |

From Channel ports to Paris exit for the A11 Chartres then A10 to Orleans.Head south on A71 until signs for Limoges A20 keep on this motorway then pick up N20 to Cahors.Pick up D911 heading west Mercues,Castelfranc then Prayssac.Head North out the town on D67,turn right on the D172 and we are on the right about 1km.From Bergerac Airport head south on N21,by pass Villeneuve-sur-Lot pick up D911 for Fumel |
