This charming B&B accommodation is perfectly located in the picturesque Pyrenean village of Boussan, on a mountainside in the Ariege department of south west France.

Le Pic Vert offers a combination of comfort, elegance and warm, yet unobtrusive hospitality. We are ideally placed to provide a homely base from which you can enjoy the wealth of sightseeing, sporting and wildlife opportunities on our doorstep. A three-course dinner is served, on request, each evening.

Le Pic Vert is a traditional Ariegeois village maison, with shuttered windows and spectacular mountain views. Wood burners provide a cosy and peaceful atmosphere, with old and new co-existing harmoniously in the form of beamed ceilings and modish yet comfortable decor throughout.

Our large, light and airy south-facing guestroom looks out over the high mountains of the Spanish frontier. This beautifully presented room comprises a double bed and an adjoining private bathroom with bath, shower, WC and wash basin. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Attractions

Despite its tranquillity, the area is a natural playground, awash with opportunities for the sporting and wildlife enthusiast. We are on or near the Tour de France route every year, the GR10 long distance walk and its countless loops and offshoots are easily accessible (by foot if you wish), and we are 50 minutes drive from the Guzet Neige ski station. White water sports, horse riding and fishing are also all popular here.

Open all year. 48 euros per room per night.

Dinner 18€ per person - three courses with a bottle of wine and tea or coffee included.

Booking

- Cheques should be made payable to 'M Jones'. Please write cheque card number and address on reverse.
- Payment should be made by cheque on a French account or cash (euro). We regret that we cannot accept credit cards or non-French cheques.
- Please ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance. Proof of cover is a condition of booking.
- Bookings are confirmed only after your booking form has been received by us, and we have issued a receipt of confirmation.
- We reserve the right to cancel your stay with us. In the extremely unlikely event of this becoming necessary, we will inform you promptly and suggest alternative places to stay locally.
- We operate a ‘no smoking’ policy throughout our accommodation, other than in the garden.
- Sorry, we cannot allow pets.
